To become an approved ADI isn’t always easy. A career as a driving instructor isn’t for everyone, but for me I find it can be a very enjoyable and very rewarding role. It for me is a unique opportunity to teach new drivers everything I know about getting behind the wheel.
I qualified as an ADI instructor in 2003. Completing the driving instructor training requirements can be a very gruelling process, with a three part test that determines whether you have the skill and knowledge to undertake driver training in Ireland. The test has to be tough and for me, personally, I find the job rewarding as I feel that I can make a difference in terms of road safety. I undergo ADI regular check tests to ensure my skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date.
As my student, you can be reassured that I am very understanding of each learner driver needs based on over 21 years experience in the job and can guarantee a professional, calm and encouraging approach of clear instruction.
